  • Medicines management
  • Anaphylaxis
  • Diabetes and insulin
  • Drug interactions
  • Safer medicines administration
  • Controlled Drugs
  • Patient group directions.

We have also added a smaller training course on cannabis oil to our portfolio, as discussed above.

The following are also available for healthcare assistants:

  • Introduction to medication
  • Administration of medicines.

For hospices that have an allocation of inclusive training, this begins in January and must be taken within the calendar year. Hospices cannot roll-over their allocation to the following year. Additional clinical training seminars are charged at the standard rate of £545 + VAT.

E-learning courses updated

Ashtons also provides access to e-learning courses for which over 15,000 people have now registered. All our e-learning courses have been revised for 2019.

These courses will be launched on 11th February 2019. The new courses will replace the old versions and users will no longer be able to access the old versions, or certificates associated with these. This means that staff who are part-way through completing an old version will need to finish this before the above date or be prepared to start the new one afresh. Staff with ‘administrator’ permissions will still have records of the old versions and who has completed them.

For further information or to book a course, please contact our Training Administrator on 01273 224624 or  training@ahps.co.uk
